Being a Graduate can be a very scary experience and it usually isn’t a time to start career planning for the next fifty years. But it is important to take stock of the direction you should take now that you have your degree so that you make the right first choice in employment. If you know your industry, set yourself realistic targets for progression and make sure you understand the sector well, and know the entry level or graduate level roles and what direction they can take you in. This kind of planning will stand you in good stead for the future, even if you don’t know where you want to be in fifty years time!
