In biology lab last Tuesday we looked at lots of pond bacteria. It was interesting to see how many different organisms live in pond water. Most of the bacteria we can’t even see without a powerful magnifying glass. We made three different slides from the pond water. I liked when we could see the bacteria swimming around. It was kind of weird knowing that I went swimming with these guys, but our lab instructor made it clear that the bacteria did not harm humans. Most of them were not harmful to anything. They tended to help things in the water and make it a cleaner place to be.
