Just about every business that operates in the UK is legally required to carry at least the standard liability shop insurance.  Of course there are exceptions, but most shops need this insurance.  Of course, if you are still making payments on your building, the lender is going to want insurance. Its a good idea to do a little research and determine what specialty covers your business needs.  When it comes to shop insurance, you’re much better off buying a little too much insurance than not enough.  If something tragic happens you don’t want any surprises.  The Internet makes it easy to find cheap shop insurance that will meet the needs of your unique business.
