Yesterday was Mother’s Day. The kids in my first grade class came in and could not stop talking about what a big hit their painted hand prints had been. They told me that they really were a great gift idea for your mother. I told the kids that the reason that their mothers loved the hand prints so much is because they love them so much. I said that being a mother or a father is the most special job in the world. I said that the thought behind a gift is just as important as whatever the actual gift is.
