The institution must send the applicant a Form I-20A-B, certificate of acceptability to student status (F-1) for students and language school. Establishing non-academic or professional shall send the student a Form I-20M-N, Certificate of acceptability to student status (M-1) for professional students to get the Student Visa. Educational institutions obtain Forms I-20A-B and I-20M-N from BCIS. For the visa applicant “J”, we need a completed form DS-2019. For the visa applicant “Q” requires notification of approval, Form I-797. The completed visa application DS-156 lists classes of persons who are ineligible under the law of the United States to receive visas. Applicants for student visas must establish to the satisfaction of the consular officer that they have ties to a residence in a foreign country and they leave the United States when they finish their studies.
