Yeesh!! That just gives me the willies! I get light-headed just looking at it. I'm such a wimp when it comes to stuff like that, and I see it far more than I want to, as I'm married to a nurse. She will watch these medical programs, and I just have to leave the room.
The strange thing about it, though, is that it is only when it is someone else who has the injury, or is having the surgery. If it is me, then no problem. I recall as a youth (8 or 9), I tore my inner thigh wide open; 4 - 5 inches wide and about 1 - 2 deep. I sat there at the hospital and watched the doctor sew it back together.
But if it had been your leg... I'd just have fainted!
