The
New York Times is reporting that Condoleezza Rice is actively seeking the VP seat on a McCain/Rice ticket, an odd report, given that Rice has previously said she has no interest in the VP job. McCain says he knows nothing about this, but Dan Senor commented on "This Week With George Stephanopoulos" that “Condi Rice has been actively, actually in recent weeks, campaigning for this.”
I'd be far more excited about a ticket that has Rice in the Presidential seat, but this sure does make a ticket that is hard to beat.
Then in other news, former Republican Rep. Bob Barr has announced that he has formed a Presidential Exploratory Committee and may seek the Libertarian party nomination. Barr told an audience at the Heartland Libertarian Conference in Kansas City, Mo., “America today faces a grave moral and leadership crisis, and those of us who care about our country’s future can no longer sit on the sidelines and remain neutral.”
Consider the repercussions of a Barr/Paul ticket!
