For those of us who are less than thrilled with John McCain as the conservative choice for President, we may have another choice: Libertarian Bob Barr, former Georgia congressman. Today, he announced his candidacy for President of the United States.
Barr says he is running because there is not a candidate in the race right now who who understands the principles of fiscal conservatism and basic principles on which America was founded.
I agree! And I am open to persuasion, because I neither like, nor trust John McCain. When accused of being a spoiler for McCain, Barr said that if McCain blows his run for the presidency, "it will be because Senator McCain did not present, and his party did not present, a vision, an agenda, a platform and a series of programs that actually resonated positively with the American people."
