I attended the first half of this meeting. I wanted to hear it all, but as I said in another thread, I've not been well for the last several days, and it was all I could do to sit there and not cough and sniff, which is really rude. Aside from my own discomfort, I didn't want to get anyone else sick. I grabbed an extra chair and sat way in the back by myself, but the room filled up, and before long people were right next to me and behind me. I thought, "This just isn't good..." so I left early.

At any rate, I didn't hear anything Earth-shattering in the first hour. One thing that was interesting was when Mike Stoner did some slides of potential view obstruction in the view corridors under different potential usages for the waterfront. Some uses block the view much more than others. Strangely enough, leaving the site as an industrial use was one of the most obstructed views.

I'm far less concerned with what goes in on the waterfront than I am with the adequacy of the clean up, and with whether or not the site can pay for itself. I'm not saying that I am unconcerned, but far less...
