I saw it and I thought it was great.
Because of the theme, Hollywood put the word out: Trash this baby!
As a result, you get a good look at the 'world view'. 'Rotten Tomatoes' is a website that takes all written movie critiques published around the country, and averages them to get a score for each movie. 'Expelled' got 9% (almost all negative reviews) while Michael Moore's 'Sicko' got 93% (almost all positive reviews). Both movies utilized the same documentary/interview technique, with reinforcing stock and original clips spliced in for effect. The movies, although with distinctively different themes, could have been mirror images in terms of quality and presentation.
(Note: Moore did end up spending 9 million to make his, while Stein spend 3.5 million. But after seeing both, you have to ask, what did Moore do with the extra 5.5 mil?)
But the reviewers - the entertainment world's elitists - give Stein 9% and Moore 93%. Judge for yourself the 'objectivity' here!
