The League of Women Voters of Bellingham/Whatcom County is sponsoring an informational public meeting on U.S. immigration policy and reform, Saturday the 19th, from 9 to 11:30, in the Whatcom Education Credit Union meeting room, located at 511 E. Holly St. The meeting's announcement did not clarify if this was addressing legal or illegal immigration issues.
Featured speakers include the executive directors of Community to Community and Whatcom Farm Friends, immigration attorney Hannah Stone and WWU professor James Loucky.
I will be in Phoenix this coming weekend and unable to attend, but I'd be very interested in a report back from someone who does attend.
