4 years ago my wife had Bumper stickers plastered on the back of her vest supporting our GOP candidates and we rode my Loud 110 cubic inch American Made Bike all over the county to wave signs with our good folks at all the locations where folks were waving signs.
The one thing that made me think that Rossi had a chance to win (after 20 years, I was very skeptical), was that at many street corners where the local Democrats had sign wavers, we saw Rossi signs being waved by the same folks that were waving Linville, Kerry etc. signs.

What caught my attention was the T-shirts being worn by the sign wavers. At each location where the D's had signwavers that had Guys in Union T-shirts, there was always a Rossi sign. This will increase this year. How did I get here?

Listening to fellow workers and listening to other blue collar guys and gals, I am hearing a common theme:

"Why on earth should I pay for healthcare out of my paycheck for folks who are too lazy to get a real job for themselves?"

They are paying attention to the what Our State Democrats and Governer are proposing by having healthcare for all to be paid for by both employers and employees out of their payroll checks. This Statewide Universal Healthcare that our Democrat friends are proposing in my opinion will drive even more Blue collar folks over to Rossi. So my hat is off to our State Democrats in helping the GOP recruit more working folks to Rossi. Thank you for the gift, Democrats.Heart USA

Why doesn't Gregoire do what the other legislators are Required to do?

Redmond, WA - Dino Rossi's campaign today called on Gov. Christine Gregoire to pledge not to resume fundraising efforts until after she is done signing all legislative bills.

Lawmakers are currently subjected to a fundraising freeze starting 30 days before session through the end of session. The governor has 20 days after legislative session to sign bills into law, and a current loophole allows her to raise campaign money during this period.

"This is a simple case of doing what is ethical and right," said Jill Strait, Rossi spokesperson. "The fundraising freeze was put into place so lawmakers would not be influenced by special interest groups while making laws. Every special interest group has a bill they care about that will be before her. Gregoire should not be able to leverage her power as an incumbent to raise more special interest money.

"As long as the governor still has the ability to sign laws, veto legislation, or use the line-item veto, then fundraising should be prohibited. Even if a loophole allows this to legally take place, Gov. Gregoire should make a personal decision to uphold the integrity of our state government's lawmaking system."

Last year, questions were raised when invitations for Gov. Gregoire's fundraisers were sent out while she was still signing bills.
