Regarding all the court battles over our right to bear arms, I am curious as to why have I not seen the [obvious] argument set out below:

Those who claim the second only protects possession of a weapon by an organized group (e.g., a
militia) neglect the following facts: 1) An organized group of people imposing their will are a government; and, 2) it is well established that the right to bear arms is a protection against government.

Based on the foregoing, it is ludicrous to claim a group and not individuals hold that right.
